Fourth, 40% of all gun sales in America are now online. You can buy any gun online that's legal in any state and just have them ship it to you wherever. Just because there are no legal gun stores and restrictions on carry and purchase laws in the State of California doesn't mean that this guy couldn't just buy them online from wherever and own them there.

They've identified this guy and probably his wife as the shooters killed in the SUV they chased. They still haven't said for sure that it was definitely 3 people at the holiday party.

As for the party. The guy got in a fight over something at a work party for the place that he worked, was possbily kicked out and then came back dressed in black and tried to kill as many people as possible there with his wife and maybe somebody else. It doesn't sound like international terrorism but who knows.

Either way it's probably yet another maniac in America who was able to easily get an assault weapon and kill a bunch of people.

the ONLY time you do not need to filed a 4473 when purchasing a gun is when you are buying from a private seller that is local in YOUR STATE and many states have a country restriction as well or if you are a machnist and make your own gun in the handful of states that allow it.

when you legally purchase a gun online you are purchasing from.........

1> a licensed retailer who ships it to another licensed retailer, who you then visit to file the paperwork.

2> a private seller, who then ships it to a licensed retailer in your state who you then visit to file the paperwork.

when you file the "paperwork" (4473 form) you are instantly processed through the NICS background check (same one the cops use, *****) for any disqualifying priors, mental conditions or history and must pass before you receive the firearm.

There are no restrictions on bringing purchased guns into the State of California. The only restrictions California has that other states don't are more restrictive gun shop laws, longer waiting periods and a basic safety class requirement to purchase a gun. This guy could have easily purchase assault weapons in California if he just did these.

There are no laws against owning specific guns or gun registration laws for this area.

They have restrictive safety class requirements for open carry and hidden carry as well.

What lies about gun sales??? The only Federal data about private sales says between 22-40% because the republicans have blocked ANY FEDERAL AGENCY FROM COLLECTING DATA ABOUT GUN SALES.

Who says I don't own guns? I already told Dallane on TS that just because I think that we should have similar guns ownership laws as Canada (full background checks, no open or hidden carry, license requirements, small magazines, certain guns outlawed) doesn't mean I don't hunt and own guns.
