Add the possibility of reverting Tanning Fluid to normal water.
As in the post above if you accidentally add tanning fluid to a water tower, the whole water tower content changes to tanning fluid (according to OP).
If we would have a method to clean tanning fluid and clean the water, the issue might have been solved without refilling the tower.

Every process is reversible but how many (much? lol i have no idea) energy would it take? Or what method you'll need to use to do that? Maybe destilation using differend boiling point of water and content of milk but then what about protein?
