i remember hearing about this game several years ago and some people i know were in the alpha, been so long i cant remember why they said it sucked but the general consensus was that it did, bad.

if i remember they had no plans for pvp servers and the game was another "respawn losing nothing" type game, so i probably stopped paying attention at that point.

The game is constantly updated, it has come a long way .... only the latest updates:

“Although Xsyon is planned to evolve indefinitely, the first full release of the game, tentatively titled Xsyon Apocalypse will launch when several criteria are met:

- Pets and mounts are fully implemented. (In current development)
- Ranged combat is released.
- Enhanced building functions are implemented. (Complete and in final testing)
- New multi story construction system implemented. (Complete and released)
- New architectural components finished. (Complete and released)
- Systems are improved and balanced based on player feedback.
- Achievements are implemented.
- The expanded landscape (9 times the current world size) is ready for public release. (75% complete)”

If they remove the subscribtion....for sure i'll give it a try....maybe waiting for a sale i could buy it also with subscription and playing it for free with skills capped to 30/100....only to see how this game runs....however this game has too few players to worth the price....i hope the dev will make something about. Maybe it will come back again to f2p formula. We'll see. Bye

Played it for a while long ago. Didn't really like the mechanics or the entire "feel" in the game.

And i dont know, this game seems to try to look realistic... but it does not look realistic... such game don't touch me.

The world looks 3d and has 3d models, but the space is 2d as shown by the fact that we can't make extra 'levels' like bridges. The tile is either painted as water or as land, you can't have both as with a bridge over water because there is no 'over'. You also can't have a character be able to walk out in a second story porch on a house or some such. There is only one level in the world. Therefore, 2.5d.

But we can level the ground and stand on high ground. doesn't that mean that its 3d because we have all three dimensions?
