Wait, does h&h have endless map?

it would be stupid, some nerd could go in one direction for alot of time, and make map weight really alot and lagg.

It does not work that way.

But an endless map would be quite counter intuitive in Salem, people need to be confined to a certain "arena", being in reasonable distance of each other.
Being able to walk off somewhere into nowhere and be nigh 100% safe there from ever being discovered would be probably against the basic ideas of Salem.
Also, player numbers.

Nah. Salem map is based in the original pilgrims lore. You arrive at a colony in a ship. (Sea must always be on a side of the map forever)
As you stray away from civilized lands, more dangerous creatures appear from the lumberwoods and the shadows start consuming your screen (Darkness must be at opposite side of the sea).

Second, we have landmarks to counter what taipion said. We can travel to any point of the map very easly. Infinite map makes no sense.
This thread belongs to ideas and innovations.

In my opinion HnH is more funny cause it has endless map....you have the opportunity to discover everywhere something new....you can travel for hours and you are sure noone was been there, then you find a small village or a cave where someone has lived a long time ago....or you can travel to search your own safe spot, then come back to the town when you have some experience and you are strong enough. I like very much the hermit style in this game...
Also Food Event, Skills, Learning and studying are better in HnH....and so many thing to discover.
Salem, for me, is good cause runs better then HnH...and it has a better interface, controls, commands,etc..But i would like to see some feature of HnH on Salem....maybe a mod??

Are you sure its endless, not just big and new? Also you can't just mod the server so this isn't going to happen.

HnH map is made so that there is a end and at one point in the future loftar will expand it out once he feels the pop is large enough. So it's not really endless, there is indeed a invisible wall out there somewhere that may or may not expand out one day. I would assume that salem has the same thing out there, I just don't know how well it works here.

I know that HnH map is endless...no invisible wall from what i know...it's like minecraft.
I know also a mod is not possible, i meant another map with different game mode, like popham.
Another new map more focused on the survival skills, more hard to survive when travel, more wild animals that kill you and a procedurally generated map....in my opinion would be really nice, maybe where you need to eat and drink, to not starve....i mean a survival mode on Salem...would be very nice. Sorry for the english, it's not my first language.
