Right, that was for a reason, right. Rather than always beeing able to bypass mechanics and create silly mechanics in order to justificate another. At this stage, might aswell build it on claimed land.

Well you already can do that, you just cannot finish it.

All I said was that honestly it barely does matter at this stage, due to the fact that you can legitimately surround it. Which is very broken, in my opinion.

Yeah, there is no point in restriction since it can be avoided without a punishment. If you really don't want it to be claimed - make restriction more complicated or, if you're lazy, prohibited by rules. If you don't care - remove this pointless restriction and let people logout on claimed land, which is affected or was recently affected by TbC, so summoned character can escape the prison if noone is fighting him (I thought unclaimed land could be needed for escape purpose only).

Given current status~ I find whole notion of TBC to be overkill.

Unless- you require some X level of Profs...across the board.

Let's all admit that 'Mains' never do the dirty work; but that's exactly what TBC was intended for...no?

We need a mechanic that requires one to be a 'Main' or (perhaps Town Mayor?) to initiate and pursue.. if not fight...to make it work.

That's my two cents.

Let's dispense with the 'raider alts'... already... either show up to do the deed on your Main... or don't do it at all.

If aren't willing to risk it all... why should the game protect you in any way?

If you play a raider alt who's IP can be traced back to your Main's IP... then you lose all defenses or offsets... you essentially assault base as NAKED... forfeiting all purity items or buffs. Sip Pots do not work and you lose biles x10 normal rate.

Yeah... I think that will get rid of 'Raider alts'...


...and if your Main doesn't have a primary IP... you be banned for 12 months for cybercrimes meant to disrupt game continuity.

Seriously folks... there's no other realistic explanation... you got one... let's hear it... but it must in the realm of realistic...if we employ a PI and you are still full of ****... you IP is banned for life.

That's how it should go... of course our Devs have their favorites...

Cybercrimes! Hahaha! Only for having more than one IP with which you connect to the game? Seriously?
On the other Hand it is sooo easy to fake your IP, if there were an IP filter for the prevention of Alt use.
Oh maaan Frotted, go and read something about TCP/IP and IP Networks before you coming here and posting some dumb things.

I really don't want to get into why this won't work. Partly because I don't understand it well myself; I just know we can't reasonably police people based on IP.

But it doesn't matter because we don't WANT to police IPs. We don't mind if you play more than one character. There's a problem, I think, with terminology that some people use. You say 'Main', when what you mean is 'Farmer' or maybe 'Civilian'. You say 'Alt' when what you mean is 'Not the Civilian', while the word alt implies that said character is weak and undeveloped.

Back when I was raiding, my raider was my main character. I spent a lot more time on that one than on my civilian, and when it comes to humors, even my alternate raider had more than my civilian. I understand that someone can make a thief character with very low humors and only skills enough to steal from a leanto, but realistically if you want to raid seriously, you need hundreds of humors and a reasonably varied skill set. Losing something like that is pretty bad as it is and I really don't think we need to make farmers and mayors and tailors and the like more vulnerable or try to force them to raid.
