Life would be so much easier if you could put dross in stockbins

Yes, yes, everyone agrees with you because this has already been suggested several times.

Perhaps vicinity of other stuctures could play a part in what is 'acceptable... if stockbin is built within 5 spaces of Ore Smeltor... if could be accessible for lime/ore/dross...?

Just a notion...

I don't think people would like that much. I don't think it could be coded very easily either since it would require the stock bin to be aware of all other structures.

I don't know. Last I heard John was open to the idea, but he's maybe forgotten about it so I'll have to remind. We haven't been able to discuss the game in a few weeks.

I believe a lot of people will be in your debt if you remind him of that. :-)

Ok, you'll hurt me for that, for sure. But I never have enough dross. I need to smelt ores every day to get it and I have now a ton of metal bars I don't use (I'm working on mercantilism to get a stall - crossing the fingers). I'm mainly a peaceful farmer and I want dross for my fields (and no, I don't have 100 fields, only 9). I could use it also as stone and if I really have too many of them, I could just drop them on the ground. So why a stock bin ?
If you want a new stock bin, ask for a wood block storage.

You might not know, but you can stack an infinite number of logs in one place, that is already infinitely better than a stockbin.
