how to take off a canoe??

I found this canoe in our main town base, but now I can't take it off?? right clicked it, shift clicked it, what's going on

Control is to drop items, you want to drop the canoe right.

Control is to drop items, you want to drop the canoe right.

Yeah, clicking puts the item on your cursor. Canoes can't go on your cursor so it does nothing.
Shift clicking moves things to or from your inventory. Canoes can't go in your inventory so it does nothing.
Right clicking brings up the flower menu, letting you "Eat/study/rummage/etc". The menu options for a canoe are "pick up" and ""Avast!"(Get in). There's no way to do either of those while it's equipped so it does nothing.
Ctrl clicking drops things. Shazam, there you go.
