Trade questions

Postby dakenho » Tue Nov 03, 2015 2:38 pm

Hi guys, Its been a while since I have played the game so I have a question on how trade works with items with multiple uses. When I go to sell an item their really is no details on how the uses effect price. For instance if i sell an item at a Boston stall that has a default of 3 uses for 30 silver I get 30 silver but what about items where a charge or use has already been used? does the stall take this into effect and deduct proportionally. and say only get 20 silver because their are only two charges left? Is this the same for buying items?

You can sell at full price on npc stalls regardless of charge.
Player stall can enlist 1 charge items at the price they want. caution when buying and assume it is 1 charge left.

I'm not sure : I don't know so many things with charges that can be sold to the NPC except the Bar of Bubbly Soap that can be used for lather and can't be sold if it has already been used once.

I agree with the buying part : if you don't know the stall owner and/or his trading reputation be careful with charges item.

Edit : I was wrong : According to wiki the only object with "real" charges that can be sold to the NPC is "Cricket Team" , and this one should be sold at one charge for the maximum price

does The game account for abuse like this? Ie use 2 charges of something sell with only 1 charge left get full price? also thanks I have paranoid I may get hosed so I will be careful

what about with player stalls were I try to sell an item with less than max charges? Is it possible for my stall to get scammed in this way?

You can only sell something to a white stall at full charges. You can sell any number of charges on an item at your own stall, but the number of charges remaining can not be seen, unfortunately. Some stalls are honest, some are not. Best to buy multi-charge inspirationals from a reputable trader than to get them off the stalls.

Hello,

By the way, how to know who is an honest merchant as most of the time we don't know who is the owner of the stall ? No indication of his/her name on it.

Your best bet is to look through the trade threads - any trader that has a stall will normally list it in their top post. You can then use the feedback in their thread to judge if you feel they are honest.
Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
