I think players just got spoiled on the amount of dev events that used to occur, weekly events etc, and now that they have tapered down, the player base feels largely neglected. They tend to forget that sandbox usually implies players run their own events! But they devs do have cooler stuff to offer

Too many events are not that good either. But due to the nature of the game I expect some at least on "significant" days
