max just leaves you at something like .04 biles. On Popham we never boiled a single mushroom and did mushroom heavy gluttony sessions. We just kept a berry mash on us and then ate it after the gluttony. Max just reaches max does not KO or hurt you in any other way then lowered biles. Oh there is the correlation between lower black bile and inspiration so you do want to watch for that.
