whats wrong in ignoring pvp and building towns? if u want pvp u could go play counter strike or WoW :P

Not really, I don't have the means to do things like building cannons, making TbF's, throwing townbells everywhere, etc.

Nothings wrong with it just the dangers aren't that real, especially if they attack a town like yours or mine with all those layers of walls and braziers, only way those towns would ever go down was with dev intervention.

cannnons are popham only which is dead so not a real problem, tbf are not mat expensive, the only problem i could see is maybe townbells not being as easily spammable anymore.

i prefer townbuilding, trading, producing, farming, mining etc.. over dangers :P

You forgot: "looting unprotected newbie claims"... :P

But yes, there should be a rework of the current crime mechanics that finally abolish the need to use alts for even a little theft, this way things could get much more interesting.
Again, simple changes could look like that:
- Make crimes "danger" according to their impact: theft -> might get hurt a little, ...., waste -> that will hurt, ...., murder -> puts your own "life" at risk
- Also, "punishing" and even crippling characters is ok, but murder should be made to be a very last resort that you only would consider if you are really mad at someone, like mad enough to break through several brick walls and hundreds of braziers.
Because right now, theft is about as dangerous as murder, which is outright wrong.
