There is no way to build a protected TbF or TbC on the island. There is only a small area to build an unprotected one that darwoth has left open specifically so as to let the dev's let him keep the island. All darwoth has to do is sail whichever combat alt he wants to put there for safe keeping or stuff he wants to hide there for safe keeping and check daily to see if a TbC or TbF is up. It guarantees that he gets an open shot at destroying any unprotected TbC or TbF against his crimes without having commit waste to do so, unlike anyone else on the server to my knowledge, where protected claimed TbF's or TbC's are the norm and may even require another TbF just to attack an attacking donuted TbF.

TLDR: We have to commit Waste versus a TbF from Darwoth. Darwoth has a special island where he doesn't have to commit Waste to be safe.

The funniest part about all of this is that the Island seemed to me that it was specifically created by the dev's as a neat dangerous area for players to explore the "Volcano" and other unique biome features they created. You could go out and see if they put anything in the special chest on it and other stuff. Now it's just another wasted mechanic, like the stall tax system being used by Darwoth to attack people and cement his status. A game has to be competitive to be fun. The second it's no longer at least competitive... then it's broken.

I had forgotten just how crappy that island is. You can't seriously say he gets any major benefit from having it, there's hardly room to 'hide' anything. And a TBF makes all town structures destructible so you're talking out of your ass yet again. It is NOT at ALL difficult to protect a waste claim if you have just two experienced combat players taking turns. Or one if you're really dedicated, I suppose.

i really hope claeyt is just a troll that is starting to slip and get just TO ridiculous otherwise he truly is so ***** stupid that there is no comparison to be found anywhere on the internet, in terms of the game we have a ******* without a town/claim and a wilderness lean to that sits in town an hour a week vomiting out the mountains of made up nonsense people have trolled him with for 3 years and refuses to realize everything he ***** out of his mouth is wrong and makes him look like an imbecile.

So you're saying that all of us lone players have to sit there protecting our TbF's against the island and risk a combat alt in direct combat with Darwoth, while Darwoth gets to Donut his TbF's with a Vclaim making us have to commit Waste to take down his near-permanent TbF's and then he can later safely harvest our Waste Scents for later summons if we don't keep destroying his protected TbF's?

Why doesn't Darwoth have to commit to direct combat to attack a town, while we do?

How exactly does this make the game more competitive or not-broken?

case in point for the new folks is this salem classic, there have been dozens if not a hundred or more of these sort of things over the years from various parties with claeyt as the mark.

binks and i convinced him years ago we could murder people in town and half the server on roanoke (and later providence) spent the next 18 months chasing him around town with murder animations

This has nothing to do with that, stop derailing.

of course it does, it shows everyone that they need to disregard your posts as they would a frakked post given that you have 3 years history of delusions here and a particular desire to sniff my ass crack in particular at every opportunity.

heres the 64 page ragefest you had over "my racism" resulting in you getting a dunce hat and raging all over the various mmo sites, memory lane can be so much fun sometimes

But he does. If he's placed a TBF on a town, he's going to break into the town. Breaking in means leaving scents so he's committing both to that and to fighting anyone who wants to defend the town or take the opportunity to attack him, knowing that he is there. People defending the town, however, can take a defensive posture and either try to actively keep their walls repaired while he's attacking, which might make him give up, or they can wait for him to break in and apply some fairly safe defenses such as 'log in behind' or 'build behind' or just plain combat on their own terrain and those aren't even all the options. There's no real need to break the waste claim, though that is also a very viable option.

good job whining about my island again and causing people to poke around getting themselves killed claeyt!

once again folks, do not pursue delusions of the claegue, as any salem vet knows as soon as claeyt begins discussing a given topic you should immediately lose all interest.
