You don't get summoned near them, you rather get summoned at your claim, so they need to track you down first. Then they need to get around any defenses you have built before they can harm you.

Summon to them only if you don't have a homestead (what you teleport to). Otherwise they have to summon you at your homestead, which you can obviously defend.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

When you commit the crime, a little mark is left on the ground. This mark can be seen by players when they open their adventure menu and toggle tracking on. I'm not sure if there are any proficiencies here which effect the chance of seeing them, if they're always visible, or if the chance to detect them is a flat rate. In Haven, a check was done of your perception and exploration against the criminal's stealth and intelligence.

After this scent is found, a player can pick it up. It becomes an item in their inventory which they can use to track you down. Upon finding your homestead, they can use a new option on the item to force your character into the world, if you're not online. This is possible with all scents except for trespassing and assault.

Assuming they can reach you, at this point they can freely attack you, if they have the skills to do so. If they so choose to kill your character, it's gone for good. Your new character can take over the homestead claim of your first one, but it's skills, proficiencies, and humour levels are lost.

This is all based on how the system works in Haven. My experience with it here is kind of limited. I've done some scent tracking for amusement but not summoned anybody. Thus, the details could be off a bit if they have changed things at all.

The thing to take from all of this which is most important is that while crime is possible, it shouldn't be done lightly. Don't think it'll be funny to steal from your neighbors as some sort of trolling. Crime is punished seriously in these games if you don't prepare. It's best done by experienced players with a good understanding of combat and all of the systems in the game, who have a well equipped and skilled character. Also do keep in mind that if you fail and are knocked out by the defenses, your body will remain knocked out on the ground for an extended period of time. During this time the owners of the claim can steal your items or outright kill you. Any scents this leaves will be on their claim and therefore pretty secure.

Yeah my character is very very well geared + pushed, and I know how it work a bit, but with the port / force online was new to me.

Because I only played 1 month (hardcore) in old beta, then I reached nearly all.

I stealing because this make fun, play stupid in my base and play farmville then I don't need to play Salem, then it is just time waste.

I agree with the Timezone difference this is ok, but permadeath should not be possible or they need to add Timezone Server.

But what is about the Brazier? And how mutch they get reduced when I build up more in the Area?

Won't happen but it wouldn't matter you have to sleep/work/school/leave the computer at some point.

Then they need to add a KI that fight back for you, maybe not as strong as a player but

Or don't do crime if you are going to cry about getting killed

no one likes getting killed online but it happens. make friends and build in the darkness to lessen the chance of summon.

yeah....better that you destroy months of another players work and nothing happen in return. good idea
