Wood Chippings reverted back to inventory instead of ground

Postby ToorimaKun » Fri Oct 23, 2015 4:20 pm

a while back wood chippings were changed to drop on the ground instead of being placed in your inventory.... this was nice at the time since there was no use for them.

but now they are needed for torch posts and most importantly farming..... can we place either revert it back to chippings going in to your inventory.... or change the despawn time on them so they stay on the ground longer.

Just studying the choppings is much more effective to counter insanity.

you still have to sharpen sticks or chop trees to get the choppings any way... might as well use them for farming.... they the only thing i know of that reduces upkeep.

That is only partly true, you can just split logs for getting them.
Also, if you make timber piles, you get a lot through moldy boards.
Planing boards also produces a lot, even if you are good at it.
Actually, if you produce A LOT of dry/planed boars, you might consider making an alt and getting him packrat + some YB to hold 1024 choppings for you. :D

Also: Use those sticks to make simple crucifix/spinning top for even more choppings and useful inspirationals.

They can also be used to fill compost bins if you got too many of them, or as bait for fishtraps.

using the sharpened sticks for inspirationals is a good idea.

there is also the issue i have brought up many times before.... that requires you to move an object to get dropped things....
