Weird. It's also a matter of lag, prolly, the stuck thing. The client doesn't run totally smooth to me, so being stuck is not hard at all.
But this isn't such a "Big Feature that everyone wants!" so i see many reasons to just dump it into the bottom of the list. Np. XD

I've saw people trad in providence, so my bad, i was not used anymore to this kind of trading. Old memories for me... just nevermind.

Seeing how the topic is half useless now, i'll throw a question: how can i see the quality of an item in a stall?

The stalls are entirely there because the players asked for them. We've always preferred the personal trade method of trade. So, if you have a good idea for making stalls 'work better' feel free to suggest it in the proper sub forum, and try to have a calmer temperament when you do. That would be appreciated. However, changes to stalls are pretty far down the list of important things unless it's something that can be done really quick. We'd rather rebalance Madness, redo Gluttony to be simpler and more fun, add some new systems we've been coming up with, stuff more people are concerned about or will use.

I addressed this directly in Ideas.

When i created this post I was disgusted by how little there was available for a new player; and how many stalls only had 1-2 item available... that were clearly marked at advanced players.

Absolutely, yes, I was frustraed with spending time looking for things that were never there to begin with.

I still say something needs to be done. Either prove profitability and/or reserve the first vertical rows of trader stalls for known sellers of newb stuff vs other wastrels... etc...

I'm past the point... I will never attempt the Trader zone again unless I'm swapping inventory with an alt. The Player Trade market, for all purposes, does NOT exist. It's wasted space and should be destroyed.

That is my final say on the matter; until an update forces me to reconsider.

I feel the opposite way. I recently unlocked Fruit Orchards and cannot find any fruit available in the stalls. Also, there are no feasting, mining, woodworking, etc. clothing sets. Meanwhile, there are nails, leather, queen and drone bees, dry, planed, oiled boards, potatoes, lettuces, you get the idea. I don't think it's overly represented by new player needs, but somewhere closer to the middle.

I take the chance to say "Thanks, to you, that sell nails for 15 silver! My saviour!"

Without that, i would have get bored of the game quite soon, 'cuz it needs some time to collect the silver as new player. In that time, the real charme of the game can be missed.
And, ofc, i also like the option to buy it from npc, but i prefer give my silver to a living person when i can.

That's quite simply the reason: the only time you ever really want silver is in medium game: new players have little that is sellable, and high-end players have tons of silver and little use for it, beyond the sporadic eggsac or needle going for sale.
Why would someone sell cotton seeds if they could only get a couple of silvers from the newb that needs them versus selling something actually profitable in the stall?
Most of the time new player things can just be gotten in boston by asking around. I know I handed out tons of seed starter kits and the like in the past, and many more people did much more for new players.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

That's what I was after; but all it takes is a few fruitless spins through the market to drive one nuts over how little of actual value there is to the 'new' player.

Definitely something you don't do when you dying. Better to spend the time storing what little you want to save vs looking for cures in the stalls... etc.

I did in fact KO looking for cures; but more than that- even healthy I couldn't find inspiration pots or others.

When you game time is limited; waste time for others or just plan for Market to not exist... I'm going with latter for now.

Thankfully I've got 4-5 toons with over 1M inspiration now... by the time I've depleted one... another is regen.

I'm not angst against not having a stall; I'm angst against not finding 'plenty' of things I need to play this game and having to waste time going through every ***** one to determine it was a waste of time to start with.

At this point- I will contract with a forum trader; and never bother with the Market again. It's a failure and a total waste of my time. Whatever effort went into creating it now appears to have been a total waste... I doubt Devs thought that when it was created; but as it is today... it is.

I'm angst against there being a small fraction of active stalls vs the whole. Selling BS? Actual Manure might be helpful; but not what's on the market right now.

Simple as that.

THanks for using Caps. Some of us older players can't see so this was really helpful.

Good to have confirmation retirees are playing; also good know we just have to play waiting game until you die off. Rent on pclaims is 2 months at a time... easy enough for us 'younger' folks... but you older folks knocking on death's door. Well, you are S.O.L..

LMAO.

From my previous expeience with this game... when it was still Beta... I learned never to expect help from others... but when you get it... milk it and move on. I took some exception to that. I try my best to make sure those I milk from never feel cheated in any way- always giving more than I take. That said, the rest of you can/will F*** off and enjoy it besides.

Come find me or not... waste time or not... etc. I'm spreading time thin already among so many toons. You will never get them all... and someday maybe, just maybe I'll see you dead and scalped. Will it be your main or alt... and if an alt... will you worry much? So why would you expect me to worry much over your looking... without even a scalp or corpse?!

I don't want to be insensitive here, but didn't you say you were a recovering alcoholic? Isn't part of that recovery trying to cultivate a clam and peaceful attitude? A little flaming/trolling in fun is great, but you seem to be expressing genuine hate across several threads here. It's not good for you, man, it's not good for anyone.

Fine- I'll let it go... besides... I've got another 70 years... my great great great grandmother kicked at 113 years her daughter lived to 106... and I favor her line... I can sit on the sidelines a while to let others die off.
