If you haven't noticed, you are playing a game where chopping down a forest is a first step in making a progress, and destroying someone's property is vandalism. Chopping down someone's forest is vandalism too.

What you said still fits in the original context of the wisdom, wasn't my own original quote though. Maybe you get it now, or maybe you will never get it. I don't play that game you mentioned though, even if i might have done it in the past. Be sure to add this to your signature, i know you want to :)
Darkness is unknowing, Light is knowing. Shed light to the Darkness to transform it into knowing. Thus it becomes Light.

If Mr. Ed Begley or anyone else wishes to understand why we behave this way(vandalism vs. progress) without coming to it preconditioned to believe a certain way then you should first look at whether our nature comes inherently from the earth or from the universe. Can you not see that we are not limited to exist only on Earth or any other planet where we could have been germinated? I think it is easy to have a philosophical belief that your fellow human being's "right" to exist and be happy usurps any tree's or mountain's "right" to exist. Therefore chopping down a tree in the middle of nowhere is "better" than spraying graffiti on the side of a business or chopping down a tree that is on a fellow human being's property.

There are obvious degrees to all of these things I mentioned, but this Ed Begley quote seems to imply that a tree is equal to a human, a human's happiness, or a human's property. Even if you want to believe that is true, I'm somewhat dumbfounded as to how you can not "understand", as he says, how it can be any other way for other people.

I wanted, but I already had problems with my current signature, wouldn't be able to fit anything more.

However, hopefully you will continue with your great respect for nature and return to life in caves. Let's see if the nature would respect you in the same way.

This makes zero sense. Any animal "usurps" the right to exist of either plants or other animals or both. Carnivores prey on herbivores, the later prey on green stuff, parasites abuse both, well, you get the idea. It's the way nature works, it's not something invented by human.
We chop down trees because we "prey" on them, use them for our purposes, human is the ultimate predator after all, not because we are driven by the mindless urge to destroy.
Well, unless you go to the forest and just smash and chop things aimlessly. But that's not something people normally do.

What you said doesn't make sense. ¦]

What you said is exactly what can be extrapolated from what I said. My "human" is to your "any animal" as my "tree or mountain" is to your "plants or other animals". And you took my comment out of context. The context of my comment was specifically in response to Ed Begley's quote( and the apparent endorsement by Procne and Syndarn) of "I dont understand..." You quoted the most direct response to that by taking out the most relevant part of the response. That being, "I think it is easy to have a philosophical belief that...".

Also, I never said anything about it being invented by humans, however it is something that is invented by every single human who has this belief, since a belief, by definition, is something constructed by a brain to understand how things work. You agree with what I said. I guess you misunderstood, or I wasn't clear enough.

For clarification, what I said before I think backs up "***** a tree and all other nature," because, if I understood you correctly, it is as you said, ever since the Big Bang many different patterns of geometry have come into existence. No pattern has any "right" to survive over any other. However, it seems that every one of these patterns is only in existence due to it's ability to efficiently repeat it's own pattern. Most often the best way to do this is to disable other patterns from repeating themselves and taking other pattern's energy into it's own pattern. AKA "***** a tree and a mountain, I need a house and a lock, cuz these humans want my **** and I want it more."

Can you please link me some news that talk about that hospital, so that i can see both truth in the same post? I'd like to verify.
I ask to you just because i can't search it english, i don't have the english version of the news and i don't know the original hospital name.
Also we have to be sure that google photos are renewed or are old ones.

I am not referring to the response in general, only to the exact quote I specifically mentioned to avoid any confusion, which you two still managed to find yourselves in. *sigh*
Or is one supposed to respond only to argue? In that case my sincerest apologies.

I just wanted to say, that what separates vandalism from progress (referring to a car/tree example) is intent, and, well, the actual 'use' of resource and not wasting it, simple as that.
But please, if you insist on showing me how silly I am by not understanding your outstandingly sophisticated concepts of patterns of creation, I don't mind. Be my guest.
