Nsuidara, thats enough. All of your post will be removed so there is zero point in posting. No one will get whatever message you are trying to send. I suggest you send a PM to meow instead if you wish to post on the forums.

I just spent the first 5 pages reading broken English and terrible explanations..

What i have so far:
OP wants mayor killed cause mayor kicked him from village?
Mayor kicked him from village for doing something?
Op is killed for threatening Mayor.
OP is pissed that he was killed, ranting on this thread about it.

Does that sum it up? Can anyone else give a bit more detail and TL;DR 12 pages of gibberish?

Claeyt wrote:So wait, now bells are indestructible again? I thought you guys JUST changed it to a waste crime? Doesn't that mean that anyone with waste who can get to the bell can destroy it?

Is it Waste, Waste Perms from the town or does it have to be under a Waste claim for anyone? Damn, I wish you guys would better define this mechanic instead of surprising us with all this.

Paid bells have always been indestructible unless under an ACTIVE waste claim. Same goes for other authority objects. We've made that pretty clear several times, so stop spreading nonsense. Unpaid bells, however, are destructible and have been for as long as I can remember.

And yes, Nsudara may contact me if he can stop trying to avoid his ban. I attempted to answer his PM about it earlier, but I think the account was banned before he got the PM. I am happy to talk with him about it, but the current ban will stand because you can't offer $100 dollars and say you will accept someone's head either in game or irl and try to claim later that you were joking. You can offer some amount worth of store items for an in game scalp, but please keep it to that. I realize a lot of people lost a lot of things for reasons that seem small and very unclear, but let's not all get carried away here.

Both can be immediately destroyed without a waste claim by:
- a town member with the town-right "manage claims"
- the towns mayor

Therefore, it is a good practice to:
- be careful who has "mange claims" [edit:] and that right that allows you to assign rights
- protect the bell with a brick wall, pclaim and braziers/TPs

and give noone else in ur town access to the doors to the townbell :)

Sure, but it's the mayor's bell, so of course they can destroy it. I'd forgotten, actually, that 'manage claims' can also do it, but you're meant to be very careful who you give those permissions to anyway.

So what tends to be a more common downfall in Salem: Having a really, really nice pclaim and getting imminent domained, or living in a village and getting backstabbed?

50-50 I´d say.

- Do the usual grind for a few weeks amassing tons of silver.
- Extend your pclaim to a size that makes you win if someone uses imminent domain. :D
Note: You get 2-times the cost (= # of tiles) of your pclaim to your bank account if it is removed that way, have it be 10k, 40k or whatever you consider "reasonable".
I don't know of any limit to extending your pclaim, so you can actually grow it step by step to whatever size you feel is too much for anyone with a sane mind to declaim.
- Also have a town claim covering your base and walls (not necessarily the whole pclaim) so you can't be attacked without TBF. [edit:] And you got 24h notice so you don't need to pay upkeep as long as you are not under siege!
- Have the town-bell and the mega-pclaim-stone in two different pockets well apart from each other, so it's twice the work for anyone attacking, as both need to be destroyed to freely loot/vandalize your property!
- Have the silver ready for 2 months of pclaim upkeep and pay it in case you get TBFed, 2 months in that your pclaim is indestructible and makes it a pain to loot/destroy your stuff.
Note: Basic town claim is 10k to make a pclaim that size and 37s/day or 2k for a 2 months siege, town claim + 1 boundry stone in each direction is 40k and 136s/day or 8k for a 2 months siege, that's all well within the "doable" range I'd say.
