Awww come on. Humans are the best idea ever.

Let's say the earth was not hit with a giant meteor when it did during the dinosaurs time. No mammals, no humans. A meteor comes later and hits in another spot disallowing the advancement of mammals, hence disallowing the idea of humans, hence disallowing the colonization of the solar system and beyond, and then another meteor hits and all life on earth is extinct forever. Maybe that destruction of all life would never happen, but there is a chance. At least with us around, we have a chance to survive it before it happens. What other animal that colonized the planet like we have could even think about how to preserve it. Could a dinosaur descendant form a human-like brain and build things? Holy ****, one toke over the line.

You do know Earth was colonized already as a spices from inside our solar system ? The modern "human" is not native to this world, more of a hybrid on ape + alien. Mars was a moon to a giant planet now knows as the asteroid belt (Earth like planet, very advanced tech), the planet was destroyed in an intersetlla war some 15-20,000 years ago, hence the huge scar like mountains left on the mars surface, the last surviving "aliens" fled to earth, and basically was forced to start again. Sadly the people in power covered everything up, The "modern worlds technology" as you say it is already 20-30 years dated and a pile of steaming ****, we are throttled on development and the truth hidden all the time. Just like in these wars, also throughout all recent history.
