Large towns grow with zero problems. Just because no one wants to pvp other than darwoth doesn't mean you should attack him for playing the game as it was designed. GT had multiple WCs on it and we removed them without a problem while leaving scents that no one summoned.
I'm going to clue you into something. You need to learn how to play the game to get people to see your point of view. You come off as a whiny ***** and no one takes your serious. Simply show me and prove where I'm wrong and I'll change the post and say "I'M WRONG". I've said this over and over but you keep just saying "you're wrong" and then not saying WHY.
Large towns and in fact all towns are becoming increasingly useless because they can be utterly wiped in a single afternoon if their townbells are destroyed. Not only that but any player left inside the town is then trapped and probably dead. Proper design and active defense can slow that but a continuously donuted TbC or TbF against a town will give an overwhelming tactical advantage to the attacker and eventually succeed in taking the town. This is being proven over and over again over the last month.
No I'm not going to inform you on how to defend a town. Towns not useless. The people living in the towns are useless.
