whats wrong?

Forum and website can only be accessed trough https:\\ not trough normal means

ingame many actions such as digging cant be completed and crash the game.

I've never been able to access the site with https. always asked for credentials.

Seems like everything is back up and running now. Been watching it all morning with some concern. Someone is really but hurt it seems.

lets hope JohnCarver has the specific tools to log the IP of whoever does it and removes that person..

Thats not how a DDOS works.

why is the epic movie hackers on there? from my understanding of 80s/90s hacking (yes im old) it really worked that way..

glad they didnt include Wargames..

But it didn't... There were not massive GUI interfaces or code that would display rabbits hopping across the screen. The only thing that movie depicted correctly was the abuse of pay phones and social engineering to gather information from hapless employees.

Most hacking done by even one of the "Greats" Kevin Mitnick admitted most of the information he received was by calling the company directly and just asking the person who picked up for their username and password because he worked in IT. Wargames did have more reliable hacking in it. A kid who runs through tons of phone numbers to find a mainframe and when seeing who wrote the software does research on him to try and brute force guess his password.
