How do you defeat a torch?

There is a claim that is not too far from me that looks recently abandoned. There has been no activity for a couple weeks that I can see and the 2 gates are wide open. It has a single torch right in the middle.
I have a crime alt that I'd like to tinker some more with so what do I need to do to kill the torch...or can I?

To "defeat" a torchpost you must use the destroy action from your adventure menu as you can not use water on it. Once it reaches around 60%-70% it should stop firing. Make sure you have enough black bile to take on the torch as the Crits are pretty nasty if you get them consecutively.

For a single torch I would say 100-120 Black bile to be on the safe side but it can be done with way lower (depending on the amount of crits.) If you don't feel safe taking it on use black bile tea as it will counteract the torch (torch deals ~1 BB damage/Tea restores 1 BB)

Correction. Torch is doing 1.1 bb dmg, tea restores 1.0. Torch with max ammo has around 100-125 shots. You can drain it.

Yes, you can drain it but it will just be a waste of time since he has access to it and can easily bash it.
