But the main reason people do that is because they want to stay competitive, to be stronger than enemies. So the bottom line - people grind and work because other people grind a lot too. The only solutions would most likely come in a form of gating mechanics or diminishing returns. Which we already have in forms of F&F debuff, passive inspiration generation and damage formula. And the natural outcome of that is that the more resourceful people start producing alts, because that gives more bang for buck than trying to further improve a titan.

No matter what is done it will always be the same - people who put more effort into the game will be stronger. If you want to compete with them you will have to put similar amount of effort. But it is YOUR choice if you want to do that. The game feels like a job? Then slow down. You won't be competitive but do you really expect to be so when other people are simply much more resourceful?

I thought that's what hardcore pvp games are about.

Nailed it.

you answered your self in the next sentence... "grind related to progressing your char"
there is a lot of stuff in here that isn't about progressing your char or your village.

This thread seems to have run its course, so I'm not too concerned about derails, but if you're going to make this into yet another "ToorimaKun can't insanity" thread, we already have one in CuaH, please go there for continuity sake.

I like to experience all segments of the game. Now in order to do that you do need to put a bit to much of the grind when it comes to Salem. And I am not talking about constant gluttony, I am quite happy with my relatively low biles character. I see a problem in the market system. I hate farming so I don't do that but that seems to be an excellent way to earn silver, hunting that I personally enjoy is ok as well, but all other segments just suck when it comes to making silver (trough NPC stalls). Now the silver I make I use to buy stuff from other people either trough stalls or in forum that I need to get what I want. And the main problem is that most of the things you cant really find anyone selling. I still enjoy playing the game by doing things that I like to do ingame. But I have so many I want to do this and I want to do that projects that I doubt I will ever finish that feel like job after 5 minutes of doing whatever it takes for them to be done that it is ridiculous.
Just to note I know its way easier if you are in village with other people that enjoy doing different things so that they help each other but I didn't had luck finding such a village up to now. I believe that everyone would appreciate any changes to the game that would make salem less grindy and not to mention this will drow back old and new players to the game that will also get economy working better.

This game will remain unplayably terrible until Devs introduce jetpacks.

The day I can flay away from a cougar and kerplode it with jetpack-mounted cluster missiles is the day the devs are no longer negligent, unimaginative *****.

Should join a bunker group to grind for a jetpack.
