Steam Distiller Question

Postby foamingowl » Mon Sep 21, 2015 3:27 am

I'm trying to make dehydrated berries and everywhere I look it says that its a 4 hour wait time plus an extra half hour lenience. I set my alarm for exactly 4 hours and I came back and the berries where gone.

What am I doing wrong?

Start a berry, check the progress after 30 minutes and then do the math to find out how long to finish. There are 2 stages, first the berry dehydrates, then it disintegrates. There is 1 timer per phase, so 2 timers before the berry disappears. You need to revisit while the second timer is running and BEFORE it completes. If I recall correctly, 1 hour for berries to dehydrate, so check after 70 minutes of adding the berry.

I think it takes ~60 min to dehydrate then another 30 to disintegrate.

On all Dehydrated Berry Sites on Wiki is the info:

Takes about one hour to dehydrate.

Warning: A dehydrated berry will disapear after 30 minutes if not removed from the Steam Distiller.

Maybe you have take a look to dehydrated roses, this one needs 4 hours:
