While I do feel bad about the things alloin mentioned and it would have been great to be doing a little more bugfixing and updating recently, Darwoth pretty much nailed it. Sometimes, we can't be here all the time and John is the main coder. We've told you he's been otherwise very busy learning to make Mandela Sand Paintings.

for years you have pasted ****** suggestions for garbage systems taken from themepark carebear games you have played that have no place in this one, which is why you now want instances    (i still remember when you and darnok were the claeyt before claeyt showed up, prob why you changed your forum name)

or completely 100% not.

It doesn't have to be an instance, it could just stay there for a while. Something like a modern mmorpg dungeon would indeed be not quite fitting.
I'd rather imagine a small location, cave or not, that exists for a limited amount of time and has a chance of spawning some unique stuff, just to add some flavour really
But then again, simply adding normal caves would be nice as is

This is basically want i mean, Cave entrances that have the chance to apear, then vanish after a period of time or once the cave has been fully explored.

These caves could have wide range of implimented uese's, from unique mining materials, combat caves, exploration caves, mazes with rewards, something that just adds a little substance to the game. **** that is really missing that make it a really good game. Suff people actually like. Things that are "fun", and do not seem like endless chores or jobs.

Of course, to ensure people like darwoth are happy, i do agree the caves should not be all rewards with sunshine and rainbows attached, they should have risks, high chances of a KO, loosing all equipment, however you wouldnt be able to run these caves without equipment. The Risk > Reward should always be presistant within salem.

They should just make all mines connected like dream world and add caves to the world that connect to lvl 1 mines. Add more metals and stuff to craft. Add in more monsters for the underworld. There is a lot of stuff to do without adding in a retarded magical cave.

If you want some magical like area then you should look to the mystical side of this game instead. A portal to the abyss opens in a random locations that lead to the same location. Inside you find great rewards at the cost of your sanity and possibly your characters to the monsters inside or other players.

Its called adding them little extras to the game that is missing which keeps people staying around. The caves i mention are these little querks the devs really should consider as its these things that keep the players attention and gets the newer players staying longer.

Because its clear the devs want more than the small neich playerbase they currently have, and if they were happy with just fleshing out the missing content you mentioned they need to do, they would not be asking for new directions of the game or revamping huge core mechanics AGAIN, now would they ?

Everyone will admit the larger audiance in gaming love bells and whistles, salem can have some of them without loosing its uniqueness, but as normal the majority in a minority game all band together and refuse them flat out.

Also Techtonic activity is a real thing, which opens and closes caverns daily in the real world, but you know if you wish to call real world geography Magiks, what ever makes you happy.

The merit of the thrill just doesn't outweigh the grind.

yap same feelings , i hope devs working now on it so the game will be more attractive to new and old players.

You guys and Judaism are all just wrong. We were less than 500 daily before the expedition and HnH just came out. As HnH slows down the hype train and if Salem can prove the expedition model can work it'll peak again.

Longterm growth in free games like this come from stuff like streaming, and getting bigger groups/guilds to play it. I still remember when we had 100 daily's. If we can just keep getting the word out it'll slowly keep growing in fits and starts.
