the "game file" ? you need to delete the folders we pointed to, redownload the game and turn off your security/firewall before running it. You removed the folders called "salem" and ".salem" (dot salem, hidden folder) both found in your user folder?

I only found one named .salem, didn't find one named salem and I deleted the .salem one yes.

Hrm. Check again for the salem one, if you've already deleted it that'd make sense, otherwise check harder :p Not sure where else your PC might have stored the game data. Other than those solutions and redownloading, I would suggest the usual router restart, PC restart, if on windows a good ol' set of command prompt commands to flush your internet adapter's dns cache and other such technical nonsense

command being :

ipconfig /flushdns


^written just like that in a command prompt window.

Steps taken
1. deleted .salem folder
2. searched windows explorer and deleted all files labeled salem
3. emptied recycle bin
4. flushed dns
5. restarted computer
6. suspended avast security scanner
7. downloaded salem client
8. launched
9. crashed immediately

Download that, move it to c:\users\youruserhere\.salem\cache\res\gfx\terobjs\ , replacing the existing one if there at all. (with game closed, and all java instances manually killed)

Then attempt starting it. If that doesn't work then I wish you luck and you should wait for devs to wake up, or more knowledgeable people
