Dead body disapeared

Ok,i was under the impression that dead bodies are persistent and will not despawn. A friend of mine was killed and we were getting ready to transport his body to town and i got the message that he logged out and the body (which had not decayed to a skeleton yet) just vanished. Am i missing something? dose the body vanish for a set time before re-spawning as a skeleton?

if you lift bodies while mounted on canoe, any body will dissapear when you swim in deep water

that would do it, one of my town members was going to transport the body by canoe. Thank you for the quick reply. I assume this is a bug?

i guess so, becuase it can make your bodies unavaliable for curse with witches, but i reported that bug to JC and Marp and they didnt said anything about that

Well i guess all i can do is file a bug report about it and go about my day. Thank you again.

Bug known. Fix complicated though so it remains on our list of things to do.
