also, your ideas in general are pretty crap and have come up before in various formats.
for the most part the combat system is fine, simply needs some slight tweaks to the different weapon types. the simplicity of it is where the player skill and balance comes from.
Oh i definitely agree, I am not claiming to be super experienced in this game, since I really have not been here for that long. what I was probably looking to do was to find a way to incorporate 4 humors into combat. And possibly some consistency. I would like more variety though, even if there are no stat/damage bonuses.

ah, that is also true, but being able to somewhat control that randomness does. of course there is always that one unlucky guy that is never gonna come out ahead, but the law of large numbers determines that eventually he will.
