Effect of not maintaining claim

Postby Ailaa » Sat Jul 25, 2015 2:59 pm

Hello!

I was wondering if there is any side-effects to not paying your claims? Village claims and Personal claims.
I believe i've read that the braziers still work even if you don't pay the upkeep. And that the only side-effect is that someone can destroy the claims if they are not maintained.

I have seen claims that have ended up shrinking down to the initial claim size eventually. Probably takes some months, but I'm guessing this may be a consequence of claim neglect; either that or it's a mechanism to liberate land that is triggered if also the owner of the claim have been offline for too long. But at least, we gotten quite a lot of nice loot from such abandoned places without the need of destroying the claim stone.

No, just no.

Neglecting your town's upkeep might bring quite afew problems with it, besides the fact that its destroyable.

Neglecting your pclaim is oke, assuming you take the fact that people can destroy it as OKAY.

What other problems might there be in the village claim? The braziers still work as normal i assume?

I'm quite positive both me and my friend have observed places that have had their claim shrink. If you haven't had this happen with claims you've neglected it's probably because it requires other conditions as well, such as the owner of the claim also being inactive for a long time.

Isnt your territory becoming subject of decay if you dont pay for it?

Also on the sidenote, someone had mentioned once that if you have a vclaim over your pclaim, you might skip paying for your pclaim and only do it when you see that your town is getting sieged. From what i understood, if there is a vclaim over your unpaid pclaim it wont decay. Someone with actual knowledge and less hearsay please confirm this.

Completely unnecessary post, at least keep the help section clean from your arrogance.

Tani, such Trolls like Juda you should just ignore. He will never learn a little bit social competence.

I have never seen that pclaims shrink, but i have seen many "abandoned" claims smaller than the walls.
I dont think that the original owner would build walls outside of their claims, maybe such claims was take over before and the new owner has placed a smaller claim to prevent that someone can reach his/her scents without commit another crime.
