JC and I actually talked about this (me bringing it up), he says it wouldn't work out.
Since it is easy to have an IP changer or multiple computers (rather self use or family actually plays, you can never be truely sure, you can easily lie).
So those wanting to cheat will cheat regardless of the attempt just to get the advantage

Think of it like Gun Law/Regulations/Banning. If a criminal wants to get a gun, they will get a gun somehow.
The law following people will be defensless against said criminal.
Alt Logic: Those who follow the rules will be at a disadvantage because the ones who will use alts for an unfair advantage WILL find a way to use them.

Where do you get that number from? Or are 350 your alts?

actually i have been pretty busy the past few weeks, so on average 1 is my "alt" as for how i know i simply do.

in any case people are retards, there is not any "less" people playing now than there was before the expedition.

1> sickness, madness, lots of new fun ways to KO people in town is why there is less town traffic/interaction now.

2> it is summer, for most people both their work activity and social activity spike during this time.

3> there is a brand new expedition, people are playing it which means two servers = less folks on providence for now.

alts are nice imo
it is the only thing that keeps retards from quitting when they get ***** :) Inheritance is sure useless considering witches
I just hear people whining about having to put in work to stay competitive. This game is in no way "easier" than it was before. Making a titan was 10x easier until they nerfed humus and basically created a disparity between new players and old players who HAD SOMETHING UNACHIEVABLE. You used to be able to hide hummus and seeds on alts and ALWAYS be able to drop it in the ground anywhere you went on a pclaim and build a "titan" off of ***** oatmeal crackers. Cooked foods? Who needs that when it was way more efficient to just eat the raw materials. cabbage and pumpkins. You could BUY YOUR PURITY GRIND FROM OTHER PLAYERS. The ONLY thing that is easier is the fact that you do not have to know a list of 1000 bugs that never get patched. The game is a bit more noob friendly because older players cannot run around killing **** with impunity, but the opposite reaction of that is that it is HARDER for older players to do so. The only thing stopping this game from being noob hell is that the players are TOO LAZY to make it so. This game is what you make of it.

anyone played tree of life? That game is essentially a rip-off of this game
executed 10x worse
It really makes you appreciate what Salem provides

I dont think is lazyness, its because is boring as hell you need to pay2grief and you can make a revenge alt in 30min in the tutorial, coz the tutorial is bugged as *****, bad cooking system + foods recipes that are mostly retarded(look potato),etc. Why people will put effort in all the grind/time to kill, reduce madness, fight with being stocked/tbc, just to troll some noobs? When a lot of players complain about mechanics you should at least hear them, not just tell the players that is their fault coz they are not *****/grinder robots. People can dream and think than there is 350players currently but if you check the server status you will know is a lie, you can see that in the drama, trade and mostly in the events. For example in the July events i couldnt count more than 40players everyday, and 10 were of my village.

People don't realize the thing about the new system is that you can have nice things, but it pushes back against having you grind them beyond a certain speed/have them right now. It levels somewhat against the poopsockers because you have to put a lot of work in to play in an unreasonable, grindy way. They either go crazy and spend time with gimped efficiency, or expend resources, time, and effort to work at about or slightly more efficiency than those who accept a more measured, reasonable play style. There is a lot of consideration that went into how it works in influencing play patterns and rhythms. It also influences how people choose to do antisocial things.

I would also say that the game is very much a work in progress, and the devs will no doubt take into consideration what people say, and make adjustment to their course as they see necessary or desirable, but within limits. We have stalls because it doesn't break anything and people wanted them badly, for instance.

We also have Providence, which is more long term and "safe" (no cannons, will not explode because a witch ends the world) to satisfy "Trammel"/"Carebear" style players. (Well, not full on Trammel. Actual Trammel is ludicrously carebear. You can't even PVP without consent. It's like Ultima: Babbies Day Care Mode)

I don't really feel the joy in killing people anymore because 90% of the time it just someone little alt that they made in a couple days.
I don't see the sense in making a 600 stats + characters because it won't leave my base.
I don't see the sense in raiding " decent target because let be honest if they decide to defend that base you ain't freaking breaking in even with 10 titans.
Games are suppose to be fun but 95% of the time salem is just a plain chores / preparing for that 5% of fun.

There are more than one ways to skin a cat when a hard target exists. Ask Darwoth.

Also, it's not like getting a strong character killed flushes that work completely down the toilet or anything. You get some of it back by default and if you are smart about how they die you can get even more with inheritence and burial.

That, and progressively getting larger and larger percentages of stuff back, continually means even your fresh descendant is ready to go at a certain level and has a progressively larger relative advantage against other characters. If everyone is 50, and you start at 75 when you cash out and break someone up, you are ahead of the curve.

"smart about how you die" is kinda silly :P People don't tend to die on their own terms. Inheritance at this point really is just for the people who kill off their crime alts before they are executed. Essentially it is only a boon to crime committing players and the players that die the old fashioned way are kinda *****. (Which ultimately I think is backwards. Rewards criminals, punishes people who want to fight.)
The problem is that you have to lose everything to gain any decent experience in this game. People learn MOSTLY from experience. It is the human curse. (I like to think I learn pretty well from others, but on that same token there are people like claeyt in the world who make that difficult)

And again Roberto, if you are afraid (or unwilling) of the work involved I do consider you lazy. Things could be a bit less of a grind, but as you have seen that is when the carebears (people like Barny) start whining about not having anything to do. As those confectionery folk would undoubtedly say "You can't have your cake and eat it, too."

Essentially RobertoKarlos what I am asking is this:
What do you think needs to happen to make this game more fun?

Roll it back to the old servers pre purity nerf.
