"pay to win" and Salem should not go in to the same sentence imo. You can "pay to accomplish things a bit faster" but at the same time you could just make a second character and accomplish said tasks just as quickly.

Except memento mori's
but on that note
I don't disagree with a person having to pay 7.50 to potentially get rid of a player of the game. most likely causing more than 7.50 worth of damages with that memento

and you can purchase all of these items with silver youget from killing crickets or searching in stumps.

The inspirationals inside the packs are the only blurred line
they are worth the money the pack costs imo

Yes, you pay Seven Fiddy to contract a group of Hitmen who will duly execute the player of a character killed with that skill. FOREVER. :D

It is not a banhammer, or at least not to that extent. You just permakill that character, or get the ability to perform the action immediately. Which can be more harm than good to YOUR character in the long run, and doesn't give you the ability to subdue them so you can kill the character, just the ability to do so once they are down. And you can get it in game. I know people who've done it the "hard way" or who have purchased one or several skills that singly or collectively, were much more expensive than just being able to Murder people. There are more than one skills or suites of skills for top tier characters in certain tasks that you can't even really buy the ability, actually. You have to invest a LOT of time and inspiration into it.

SEMvergonha wrote:"Sew kit" - Fix an outfit, destroying artifacts and restoring broken slots.

"Inspiration potion" - Retrieves "X" amount of Inspiration (sold units, like springs)

"Personal street stall" - opens a small personal shop, can be placed on city streets, the character gets busy while selling their belongings, and can not perform another task until you close your bankroll, but no status is caused to the player (madness for example) while it is selling.

"Builder Hammer" - accelerates the construction of structures (might be introduced into the Mystery Tool Box)

"Giant backpack" - 35 spaces reduces 70% of weight (perhaps some changes in status if exaggerated)

Fine, taken one at a time then.

Sew Kit: Not too OP at first glance, but making clothing items is a big part of the game and getting a 0 roll on difficulty is huge. Clothing already doesn't wear out over time, so being able to 'reset' it to pristine condition and try again as many times as you want with only the loss of your artifacts is too much. If clothing wore out over time, it might be different. But even then, we'd have an in-game item with a chance to do this and a store item with just a higher chance.

Inspiration Potion: We have a newbie pack that includes potions and is meant to be a quick boost to new players. But making players able to buy potions alone in large quantities is too much like selling a bunch of skills outright, which is something we don't want to do.

Personal Street Stall: This is completely contrary to the way we want people to interact when they trade. We'd really prefer to not have the stalls we have, but player demand was just so high, we added them. And yes, allowing someone to be AFK with no madness added would just cause all the criminals to double as street vendors and destroy one of the main benefits of madness.

Builder Hammer: Adds some convenience without putting everyone else at a great disadvantage. So, seems like a fairly good idea.

Giant Backpack: A little too OP. We have the Fine Leathercraft skill which creates a very nice backpack for a great deal of effort. I don't think we want to undermine that with a shop pack. Perhaps a shop backpack that is less nice than the Fine Leather Backpack, but not this.

How's about you do that same list, but without retarded suggestions from a 3 day old player. I really liked alloin's and other's suggestions for things to buy on the shop, can you make a list why those are or aren't viable TM?

Because this is his thread and because he asked. Alloin's suggestions are not bad at all. I like most of them. However, new art is the most difficult and time consuming aspect of updating Salem, and there have been a lot of new items added that need art. Once there is time, maybe new masks and some of the rest of that list will be added to the game and/or the store.

It would be great new ideas being proposed here is not limited just what I said.
I believe can implement a lot of new things.
just consider the possibilities, and adapt suggestions

We've implemented a lot of things from this section; many of them have been adapted from the original. Yours have problems which I have explained mainly to help YOU, if you want to post in the future, to know what we're looking for.

If Path of Exile and a number of the bigger Ultima Freeshards are any indication, people have an unholy and puzzling lust for useless cosmetic pets that don't do anything (impede anyone's progress, fight, etc. Sometimes light, but very, very very rarely.) To show off. If it wasn't too much trouble we could probably have dogs (possibly separate from "working dogs" if those are going to be a thing, maybe a "small but not so fierce" dog) or something like a parrot. I can see crows and ravens, and especially black cats as something special, for witches, or as a reward. Seeing as we have Crickets, we might also have a stupid, useless cricket pet too. It would follow you around and be annoying by making creaky noises.
