Timber Piles overlapping.

Postby Gustyboy » Thu Jul 09, 2015 6:28 pm

Hi,

Just to be sure, can I overlap the timber pile dead zones ?
e.g. having 2 timber piles with 5 empty tiles between them ?

Thanks !

As long as there is nothing in the tiles sorrounding a pile you are good to go, they can overlap but make it 6 tiles not 5

Because a timber pile is actually 2x2 tiles big, so when you place it centered in a tile it will overlap 0.5 tiles in all directions around that tile. Meaning 5 tiles between the tiles you build them on will actually only be 4 tiles worth of clearance.

OK so if I have 5 tiles of clearance (with the grid from custom clients) between each pile, I am good :)
Thanks a lot !

Worth noting that you can actually put fields between board piles without punching mould into them, which actually provides a convenienly sized spacer and a practical use for the dead zone.
