Are you doing things to mitigate insanity?

Well im regularily cooking at the fire, whittling, picking up flowers, sleeping in the bed and studying alot.

The only thing i do that could create insanity on the other hand is being online.

If that is working as intended then the whole madness system seems a bit out of ballance. I mean, im a pretty new player that doesnt even have a house or any advanced stuff and instead of building my home i now have to focus on cooking, whittling, picking flower and studying things just for the sake of keeping insanity down? :?

Not really. You can't see insanity meters because it's not supposed to rule your gameplay sessions ans micro manage madness. Just get a teddy bear-slot your clothes with geodes and you are good to go

Madness should be explained better. A new player wouldn't even be aware of this mechanic until it was time to do something about it, in which case they wouldn't have the affluence to smoke, a teddy bear or possibly even a bed to sleep in.

I assume the tutorial is being constantly tuned, Madness should be mentioned here or possibly when entering whichever real server continue on with the little quests and one of them is "make a bed", etc.
