If someone knocks you out, you will get the opportunity to offer them a ransom to let you live. The ransom is a percent of whatever you have in the bank; if it's enough maybe they'll agree. If they do, you'll be sent home to safety. Of course, this assumes they're not already on your claim raiding you in which case the ransom won't help you.

errr .... you buy stuff in town ... the bank is in town ... credit cards in witchy pilgrim times?? sure ... but you would need 100 billion mines and mountains and Law and Lore to research the electronic banking system and 100 billion (insert 2 more random proficiencies) to manufacture the magnetic strip plastic card. C'mon man don't be that guy, the bank's right there and easily accessible, there's no need to make the system any dumber and introduce new mechanics to it ... invest in a plague doc mask and you'll have no trouble with getting to and from the bank like a real big person :P

ive got the mask
im lazy
and your argument is logic in a game like salem? a game where u store stuff in your cheeks like a hamster in till your cheeks gets soo full your face is a bout to bust open (im gueassing this seeing u dont need clothing to have inventory space) can lift a bolder or log like your form scotland and still have the strenth to stomp the ground and do a roud house kick a game where u get more stronger from stuffing your face like a fat rich pig and dont die from the 1st attack form a couger
using logic in a game like that makes no sence :) (im not mad ranting or whining just saying ^_^ have a nice day)

on a nother note seeing my qustion has been answered coud some 1 lock this or something ? plz and thx ^_^

Yes, there are a lot of mechanics that are there to make the game playable. We do still try to keep the items in the game period appropriate though.

Notes of credit, for the very rich and well to do - for those that have a very solid reputation with the financial institution in which they invest vast amounts of funds ... not for the everyday banker with piddly sums. And even those credit notes would have to be obtained from the bank for specific purposes each time and were usually used when dealing in large sums of money that were ungainly to be toting around due to physical difficulties in transferring large quantities of gold coinage between transactees.
