What's the size necessary to make a decent homestead?

With space to tiple walls with braziers, all the crafting tools and a decent amount of field to plant and dry stuff?

I'm planning on moving but would like to do it right next time, can someone tell me? I've a 50x56 claim right now, that's 28s upkeep.

Personal preference... I have 40x40 and its enough for me. Altho I keep quite many things in mine.

Vclaim > wall & brazier wall and torchpost wall -> expand as much as you want and never pay upkeep

Bells cost more upkeep than personal claims. It's true you don't HAVE to pay upkeep for either of them, but if you don't, the first person who gets through your wall can destroy them and get all your stuff for free.

Pay the upkeep for the town claim. If you connect daily don't pay your PClaim as you can just add silver to it if you notice you are being waste claimed.
