Have you tried ... and this is a crazy idea, i realize, but have you tried curing the disease? Learning about the disease? The wiki helps, the forums help too. Check what your symptoms are, count the most frequent and cure for that.

Disease is a bit harsh for a new player who is learning the game. Providence is a bit deserted and not many there to help and new person. I remember when I first started playing. I ported to boston, it scared me and I hid behind a rock when Binks was there haha.

Well yeah, but the info is everywhere. I'm getting used to the reasoning that it's better to lose a fresh char to it than an old one. And by the time you have a char you'd really want to save, you will hopefully know about the scary stuff.
