Aeolian question

Postby Gotrek86 » Sun Jun 28, 2015 12:28 am

So I was curious about the Aeolian skill being able to change biomes. How does it work I know you need a mystery music box instrument but can the skill change say a quarry into grass? or can it just change forest into grass or grass into forest? Anyone know. I'm assuming it can't turn grass/forest into stone or lime quarry as that might be a bit over powered but if anyone can explain the skill before I buy it and an instument that'd be great.

From what i have been told, the amount of insprition points required to change the biome makes the skill redundant. The music box has other uses though.

How does the cost make the skill redundant? Is the inspiration cost so high that it makes the skill worthless to buy?

For people to stingy to shell out $50 or who still rely on mommy, and daddy for money, every few notes you play usually only makes one tile of the biome change so you have to play a good amount of notes to really change a small piece of land.

ok but how much inspiration does it cost to play 1 note. I just wanna know if its worth my time to change a biome. Also can you change a quarry or lime deposit to another biome?

Depending on your time it's always worth it. Inspiration is also VERY easy to regen.

From my very basic understanding and minor dab-baling before being brutally murdered and all my stuff stolen again :) (We live we learn)

I had 4 different instruments and each one changed the biome to a different type. it is my understanding that you can get a different instrument for each type of biome effectively over time with some inspiration pots or a few 8 hours sleep with PJ and a teddy you can make the area around you become exactly as you wish it to be. Thus allowing you to farm close to your base for all the biome based spawns like snakes and spiders etc.

As a completely new person (1-2 months of play in game) it is my opinion that the benefits of having the biomes you want right next to your base forever (or until you get kicked out) far out weight the cost in inspiration. Just my 1s worth of course.
