My butt is fine but thanks for the concern, not having an insanity indicator is and would be as ridiculous as playing without a yellow bile indicator

Well, consider this: If you where going insane in real life, would you have a little bar on your watch or something telling you how close you are to hearing whispers or seeing things?

I think the masks are a great indicator, it tells you what level madness your at, and at level 1 you should be searching for a way to reduce it, if you get any higher, your doing something wrong..

You can recommend it on the custom clients, because i highly doubt that JC would add anything extra to the masks.

Do you have a health bar in real life? do you have a skill page in real life?

Imagine a new player with a new character and tell me how easy it is to reduce your madness when it could easily be managed by actually having an indicator, it would also help knowing what it is and why you even have it in the first place

Ill just let you figure it out then, JC doesn't just hand out nice things.. it has to be for a damn good reason, and that usually means it will cause more tears at the same time fixing something. ¦]

It has?? that's because its a good idea, alas it would seem that adding more content is of higher priority than improving what is already here

No, it has nothing to do with priority, it has to do with JC feeling that such an indicator would essentially defeat the entire insanity system as it would make it too easy.

And I must say I agree with him. In fact I think such a bar would just create unnecessary stress while playing. Now I know I'm fine as long as I don't go more than 2 hours doing grindy non-calming tasks. Which gives me plenty of time to not think about the system at all; with a bar you would be having a reminder looming over you all the damn time.

Id much rather have the bar. Wouldnt have to stress to have a f***** timer on.

I can understand that's a bit of a hassle since I used to do that for a while as well. However, personally I've moved away from the timer by now since I've grown accustomed to the system. I've gotten madness levels a couple of times during major projects - but I would probably ignored the timer anyway for those, lol. It's easy enough to get it back down again anyway, and who doesn't want to have JC whisper into your ear once in a while?
