Troble with restart

When I login with my old toon, I end up with my *old* place. And furthermore Im naked and my place is a mess. Which is all understandable, since I haven't been online for 6 months.
BUT how do I start over with the official new launch? I dont want to keep my old game...

If you want to start on the new server you will have to make a new character.

Ok thanks. Created a new Toon called CATO. Started over. Came to Indian Land (chief lend-a-hand). Spend several hours learning skills. That's when the game crashed. Now when I login again, that toon is gone.
Any help here?

yikes.....you need to finish the tutorial or all your progress is lost... It won't save the character unless you are actually in the world of salem.
