How does killing anothe player work and Premadeath

Can players kill your character anytime in this game? And if so do you loose all your stuff worked for ..possibly months of effort lost? Nothing like playing this game for months just to loose everything on account a few kids going around ganking other players.

Belongs in Help section....
Yes...if your character dies, you lose it forever. If you however have inheritance, the death isn't "as bad" as your decedent will have some of the proficiency of your ancestor did (however leveling your biles/humors you must do from scratch).
And yes, you can be ganked easily in this game, even raided and killed for no reason but to raid and kill.

If you are not prepared for the risk of losing pretty much everything, this game isn't for you.
If you plan on playing knowing the risks, then I wish you the best of luck.

When you're ko'd you fall on the ground and stay there until combat is broken, if another player so chooses too (and has the skill http://www.thesalemwiki.com/wiki/index. ... n_%26_Abel) they can then murder your character. Your next character will inherit some of your lost skills, and any claims/leantos you own. But yes, that character is gone if it dies.

This game probably isn't for you, if you're not going to accept that you can die at any given point if you aren't careful.

It should also be noted that claimed land is inherited, and also the risks that criminals take.

What about the items you purchase with REAL money...they also gone? Like the various backpacks that are for sale...

All items are lost upon death (Even Store Items). No way to get them back unless you kill the people who stole from you.

Anyway to secure your items? Say those you have in your home after your death...so your next character can use the same house and land?

Your next character can inherit the rights to the land. If no one broke in and stole your things, the descendent can use those things, that house, and that land. But there is not way to completely secure anything.

If you are killed away from your base, everything in your base will be available to your next character and there is no way to secure your items from others unless you have a locked storage container but even those can be destroyed and looted for their contents.
