Broken at launch of game

So, I can't make my character because there is no "person" to right-click in order to select a female avatar. The NPC (if there is one and it's not a bug), is obfuscated by the building. I tried for ten minutes. I right-clicked every square inch of that screen. There is absolutely no way to do it. Is this broken code? Is there a way to rotate the screen view so I can see the NPC? Is there an alternative to right-clicking? We're not off to a good start, Salem.
