I repeat again, someone who thinks Capitalism is NOT superior to Socialism even though: Capitalist countries have better health, people in them have a greater chance of becoming rich/succesful, people are much more free to do whatever the hell they want to, all of the citizens have equal rights, no other system has proven itself so succesful, people are more happy, there's fewer dictators and the market is free not planned, is in my opinion an idiot.

I know! They are doing alright because they invested in Capitalism in the US, and opened up all their major cities to Capitalism! You're really spot on to point out how the main reason a communist country is succeeding is by adhering to Capitalism.

Mainly because then Salem would not be allowed; the massive censoring China has would be everywhere, free thought would be an 'underground', inventions would be stifled as being a threat to the 'state', so on and so on and so on. Really: so on and so on, for a very long time, as in I could mention a near endless amount of oppression that goes on against people who don't know what freedom is.

I feel a lot of folks don't understand what it is like to be a citizen in a country where if you make a lot of noise there is a good chance you will be jailed. It still exists today in many parts of the world and is the number one way to shut down your people from doing anything important. The free zones in China are booming, yet the general population is still under the thumb of the communist government. I know quite a few folks who made sure to have their Asian children born in the USA. I don't see a big rush to make sure you have your children in many other places.

AFAIK Russia is heading slowly, but steadily in that direction.

Of course Rifmaster there has never been and will probably never be a fully Capitalist form of government or even a democratic Capitalism. I'm sure you live in some country that practices a form of Socialist-Democracy as almost every country in the world does. A fully Capitalist Society would look something like Somalia or maybe some Dictatorship that fully engulfed the rest of society like Libya under Gaddafi. Always remember that the most any country has ever gotten towards a fully Capitalist political system is probably Germany from 1933-39 and The United States between 1776 and 1864.

I'd say the most capitalist society today is probably somewhere in the Golden Triangle of Burma or in the Hills of Columbia.

What standards are you even using to measure the 'most capitalist society' or are you just pulling **** out of your ass?

Capitalism and socialism are not mutually exclusive [sadly]. Silly and idealistic socialism is the main problem of western world these days.

I'm using the standard of least political, moral and societal control over Capitalism and the Economic system. Capitalism is always controlled by a political class through taxes, war, regulation, etc... The least controls that capitalism ever had that I can think of within a political system are the beginnings of corporate dominated Nazi Germany before the massive war effort and Post-colonial/Post-monarchy anti-tax America with a capitalist system of slavery.

People like Rifmaster generally don't really understand what 'Pure Capitalism' would look like and they can't comprehend how their idea of a successful society isn't actually 'Capitalism'.
