Yes, it is pretty obvious that he will get resurrected by her.

I'm trying to remember the book and of course the series go farther but still I think I remember that Melisandra had possibly left Stanis by the end and hadn't yet gotten back to Castle Black.

I don't know, they didn't really play on the whole resurrection thing very much with the red priest in the Riverlands. We'll see. I'll be most disappointed if the Series didn't follow the book line at all with Stanis's defeat. That's a huge plot fail if he lives and wins in the books. Here's hoping RR's letting them in on the new stuff.

As the river rolled over the cliffs, my own laughing joy was drowned out by the roaring deluge of the water. The great cataract of Darwoth's Tears fell over and over endlessly.

I probably laughed more than I should have at the exchange between Tirion and Varys.
Other than that there were enough moments for a bountiful harvest of tears.
Looking forward for the next year.

I read the book and when the alert came up I was like finally!. But yeah that was one of the saddest moments of the story. Also, the book doesn't outright say he died either, but just talks about him getting stabbed by the other brothers while they are saying "For the watch" or some other *****. He might survive but that would not be martin's style. Probably get resurrected by a red priest or possibly get resurrected as a thinking wraith by the old gods.

Sometimes powerful surges of emotion overcome protocol. Apologies, OP, if I unduly interrupted your otherwise robust and fulfilling rubble chipping session. It won't (maybe) happen again until next season when I am reminded yet again that George R. R. Martin is a master tear-harvester and we are pawns in comparison.

She never left the wall when stannis moved on winterfell.

I don't think she has the ability to bring people back. She was amazed with Thoros of Myr told her of Dondarion. In the books it never specificity states that john died, only that his vision faded to black. I think that he will become the next Night King to face his Aunt and her dragons.

Martin already told them how the books will end due to his slow ass writing. We still have another year till the next book followed by who knows how many years for the next two.

You mean see how the show is a abomination and needs to be cancelled? I stopped watching the garbage after the last season.
