I honestly think it's a flawed game design when there are obvious loopholes that allow people to dodge certain game mechanics. Otherwise the stock system becomes a false advertisement of justice that only really punishes nub/dumb players and alts. I don't have any problem with the current criminal/defence system otherwise, I think it's relatively fairly balanced. I actually wouldn't complained if the grind raiders face was reduced some, I'm more in favor of challenge rather than grind personally. It's just that I don't like cowardism and anything that give validation for such behavior and I think that's a valid enough opinion, just like you seem to detest any hint of incompetence which is also understandable.
Also, it wasn't my intention to imply town bells have precedence over player claims. I understand you can still use a TBC to summon someone behind a town bell, no? That wasn't really the point with my suggestion, I just don't think hermits should use town bells as a defence mechanism - and that's a system that affects raiders too as far as I have understood, not just vigilantes. There's other solutions for that of course, like requiring a certain amount of founding members for a town etc. but I see that as a less ideal solution. Actually a very dumb solution too. Either way, I will admit that you are right to assume that I probably still need to learn more about the Town System though. That doesn't discredit everything I have to say though, just means the wiki needs to be polished some more.
If you believe I've misunderstood anything then you're welcome to explain constructively why or why not, people don't learn a thing from having **** hurled at them. Besides a retard is someone who is slow to learn, so if a person gets called retard without even having been given the chance to learn anything then it has no other meaning than showing that the insulter is incompetent in explaining a concept. I know most people don't think that far and thus get provoked anyway - but to me those that do this are only insulting themselves. I can understand if you're tired of seeing the same thing explained over and over again though and I sympathize with that.
