What happened to the MM tribe?

I quit Salem for a year and returned to an Imperial ***** of new things, but one of my pertaining questions still remain: What happened to the "governing body (cesspool)" that was the MM tribe? The only legacy they have now is a wiki that's down 80% of the time.
