Is the introduction of books an evil plot?

With the wiki always down, the introduction of books arrives right on time. Do you think it was JC's plan all along to deny us access to the wiki so we are forced to use books in game? Fire away.

If this is true, I am not entirely opposed to adding more immersion. Moving guides and how-to's to in game literature for realism may be same mindset of limiting teleport trade in Providence. These may be just the beginning of such changes getting away from forums and keeping it in game.

On another note, if the literature patch involved giving witches the ability to make Grimoires, to what effect? It doesn't sound like they are allowed to be sold if they reveal anything. Then again in real life this sort of thing would be passed hand to hand anyway due to public outcry.

I realize poster was half joking, but still interesting to think about.

Grimoires, if they existed, would be a way for witches to allow their apprentices to lean certain types of advanced witch craft before they had gone through all the advancement rituals. Pilgrims will never see these books as they are tied to their creator and would certainly lead to the death of their creator if a good pilgrim ever got a hold of one.

No. There is ANOTHER wiki about to come up. Books are just a huge part of immersion for sandbox.
