furthermore giving an AE of any kind to the sword is retarded, the reason the swing animations along with the damage were increased was so that it had to be used skillfully and with precision which a cone attack completely defeats the purpose of.
These are fairly good arguments.
How about i change this so that you can only use chop and sweep with a "Longsword" (2-handed weapon) With which you do less thrust damage than with a sabre but can do these 2 attacks.
That seems pretty balanced to me.
sure, but then you might as well just add it to the halberd weapon type instead and ask for a new halberd or two with a large sword graphic =P
Well yeah, anyway the point of this thread is that it makes me sad that weapons only have 1 way of attacking, club has 1, hally has 1, sword has 1, guns have 1 and so on.
So what i'm saying is Yea for more diversity in attacks, Nay for keeping it this simple.
IMO in this kind of game, if you have a 500 bile char and are **** at combat, a 200 bile char with lots of combat experience should be able to take you down with no problems what so ever because I think skill is more valuable that boring ass repetetive grinding to get your biles higher.
So my solution was this. Add more types of attacks with different ways to make your skill more valuable, and to make more tactics than what we have now (Spamming cleave, stomp and thrust, spamming punch to oblivion and throwing in an uppercut somewhere...)
Oh yeah and you bad person and i get it but i will just ignore you for your own good.
