Illness in town

Postby kemil88 » Sun May 24, 2015 3:50 pm

Hello, I don't know if this is the proper section but..I'll write it here.
Me and my friends are sick of being victims of Disease because there are diseased people AFK in Providence spawn point, it was a pain some times ago when it was not mortal but just annoying, but now, it can even kill you and make you lose your character! The problem is also that some of us need some seconds of loading time when going to Providence, and being infected is almost a sure thing when being close to an infected player for too much.
Please, remove the Disease feature or do something about those players that are AFK in the spawn point! We can't afford to heal ourselves everytime!

We are newbies, we just spent all our money on medicines, and I'm pretty sure that those masks are not cheap..

Make yourself an immune potion. It will protect you from deseases.
Also call doctor Sky for free cures.
And you will die eventually, not from sickness, but from your unprepared mind. Be careful or the first death will be the last we will see of you. ;)
You thought I quit.

The immune potion as you call it is a berry juice obtained from Steam Distillers. I highly doubt that new players would have easy access to those (especially considering that it's a very expensive item and a somewhat high-tier skill).
However I would disagree on any mechanics helping newbies and diseases. You are bound to die one day or another in Salem and diseases are a good way to start. If you are deterred by the game because your 5 days old character died then what will happen when your main of 4 months+ just died? However I do agree that my point is contestable as I never had to level up a new character unaided with the current disease mechanics. Saying that I do teleport from time to time without a Plague Doctor Mask and have never got diseased. Just go away from the diseased and you should be fine.

Yeah but it's not our fault if people just stay AFK at the spawn point waiting to die because they want to delete their character for free, I don't like to repeat things and I'd like to die as later as possible, since I did put a lot of efforts on my work (we are 2 players working together to do everything we need)

I would advise against this. He is a known witch and will kill you.

If you don't want to get sick then your best bet is to make a bunch of meds or buy a mask.

He is not a known witch, Dallane is just a known troll who dosnt like him.
Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

That isn't true. You should read the book.
