The proficiency information for mining artifacts is incorrect on the wikis now, isn't it? It says

"Lowers the phlegm when mining a mine tile, increases the Purity of boulders that are pulled from the wall and lowers the hardness of rubble."

What is lacking for mining exactly? I think its one of the better civ artifices to have at the moment.

what the OP means, is that there are only 5 artifacts that give mining, plus maybe some we havent yet discovered
whyle weaving, woodworking, feasting have like 10 difrent artifacts.

whyle the bonuses are high indeed, but theres currently no reason to use best clothing for mining set. 3 slot clothing is enough, +5 compared to +35 is a small gain already, not to mention +2, so maybe add some artifacts to +12 - +15 range for variety

I see. Well I think there is a bit of an exaggeration unless you are counting all the different cuts of gems. However, yes there is a good argument for me to decrease the efficiency of the gemstones for their secondary artifice uses and to add more mid-level content there.

Nah we're good. Mining is fine. Artifices are fine.
