Mining question

I did a little bit of mining and im just wondering if im doing it right.
Im on lvl 2 and i dont know if it is supposed to be like that much of mining before you find lvl 3 entrance.

no. why do you mine is such small strips when the black walls are the biggest of them veins?

what exactly do you mean ? should i leave more space inbetween them or mine in bigger strips. for example 2 tiles wide.

1 wide strips. The space between each strip is for the good miner to discover.

What do you mean? 2 tiles wide allows you to see every block, seem the way to find all the ore. I too, am having trouble finding blackrock on level 2, and you have done a way more thorough search than me. I am assuming going farther from the ladder, but have no idea, I am pretty much posting to watch.

If you do that you will hit the same vein multiple times if it's big enough, just saying.
That method is used to find the nearest black wall, but even then you will problably find it in 3 weeks or more if you mine like that and all by yourself. If you really want to find the nearest black wall make a space of 10-12 between each square. This will ignore silver that might be between each square. but you are grinding purity not silver ore.

However, that method is pure brute force. You need something smarter.

I'm interested to know this smarter method, Nikixos, can you share? I'm stucked in level 1 because i decided to mine all equally, but i just want to find the black wall. Can you PM any tips? Thanks..
