hmmmmm....The flowers don't melt at all... I suppose it is possible to look at the snowball melt timer and adjust it during a cold snap. Might not be as easy as items don't tend to 'update' themselves when seasons change by default.

What if you made two different types of snowballs - same stats, but one has a longer timer. Simply limit the one with the longer timer to only spawning during a Cold Snap and vice versa. I'd imagine this would work similarly code-wise to how bears only spawn during Everbloom

It was a fair bit simpler than that. I'm just wrapping it up now. There is still only one snowball that spawns but he now dynamically chooses the duration it will take him to melt based on the season that he spawns during. The only 'issue' with this approach is those who log off with a snowball in their inventory, then to 'log back in' during an everbloom will find that their snowball still thinks it is a snap and will still have the 'time left' until he melts based on the cold snap. I am now just debating if I should simply melt all snowballs who are 'logged' on during anything that is not a cold snap.

I don't see why snowballs shouldn't instantly melt when you log out, no matter the season. Unless they now last significantly longer during a cold snap.

I moved them to 5 minutes during a cold snap.

I killed off the majority of my alts that were useless. Picking thorns during a blood moon can be very hazardous.

Other than that I took JC's advice and found the biggest rock and climbed under it and hid. Tried a stump with an alt and but there was a rattle snake hiding from the blood moon under that.
